What is it?

Red Cross Roadhouse Services delivers a free hot meal and information service from Room I in the Griffin Centre. Red Cross operates the information service 6 nights per week providing information on housing and employment and referral to other support services.
Free meals are provided daily in the late afternoon/early evening at Meeting Room 1, Griffin Centre, Genge St, Canberra City.
Mondays:

  • 4:30pm-5:30pm - food provided by the Australian Red Cross.

Tuesdays:

  • 4.30pm-5:30pm - food provided by the Australian Red Cross.

Wednesdays:

  • 5pm-6pm - food provided by Hare Krishna Food For Life Program Canberra.

Thursdays:

  • 4.30pm-5:30pm - food provided by Australian Red Cross.

Fridays:

  • Mid Day-5pm - food provided by Stasia's Soup Kitchen (at Garema Place, Canberra City - not the Griffin Centre).

Saturdays:

  • 5pm-6pm - food provided by Hare Krishna Food For Life Program Canberra.

Sundays:

  • 5pm-6pm - food provided by the Masonic Lodge of Canberra.

Who is eligible?

Anyone in need may access this program.
Drop in during opening hours.

Who runs it?

Australian Red Cross - Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Hare Krishna Food For Life Canberra - Wednesdays and Saturdays
Masonic Lodge - Sundays
