What is it?

A range of driver’s licence concessions are available to eligible ACT residents.

Who is eligible?

Department of Veterans Affairs Gold Card, Health Care Card, and Pensioner Concession Card holders.
ACT Driver Licence Concessions

How do I apply?

The concession is initially administered as a discount over the counter. When applying for the concession you will be required to produce your Department of Veterans Affairs or Centrelink entitlement card.

You will be given the option of allowing the ACT Road Transport Authority (RTA) to electronically verify your concession entitlement. If you choose this option the RTA will record your entitlement and the concessional fee will appear on your driver licence renewal notice in the future.

If you do not choose this option, in the future your renewal notice will show the full fee and you will be required to produce proof of concession entitlement each time you renew your driver licence.

Who runs it?

ACT Road Transport Authority, Access Canberra.
