St Vincent de Paul Society

What is it?

The St Vincent de Paul Society (SVDP) provides assistance to all people in need, including migrants and refugees, people experiencing homelessness or living with health issues including mental health, and people looking for friendship. The Society can assist people in ways including:

  • Home Visitation in which Society members visit people in their home, discuss their needs and provide appropriate support;
  • Providing Material Assistance through Vinnies Centres in the form of household goods and clothing for people being assisted;
  • Assisting people experiencing homelessness with a range of support services including accommodation and night patrol, which provides food, clothing and companionship to homeless people.

Who is eligible?

Anyone in need may access the Society’s services.
